This policy covers Cagecraft: Killer Sudoku (package app.mlplay.killersudoku) for Android, published on Google Play by MLPlay (“we”). If you have a question about it, write to support@mlplay.app.
In short, the game has no ads and no accounts of its own. Your progress stays on your phone, unless you sign in to Google Play Games, which then keeps a copy in your Google account. The only data we receive is anonymous usage statistics, which you can turn off.
The game stores your solved puzzles and solve times, your unfinished boards and undo history, your settings, earned achievements and a record of which puzzle packs you own. All of this stays on your device, apart from the copy in Google Play Games described below, and we never receive it.
If Android backup is turned on, Android includes this data in the backup to your Google account, so your progress comes back when you reinstall the game. Google handles that backup under the Google Privacy Policy.
Uninstalling the game, or clearing its data in Android settings, deletes the data from your device.
Puzzle packs are sold through Google Play Billing. Google processes the payment and keeps your purchase history with your Google account. The game only learns which packs you own, so that it can unlock them, and it never sees your payment details. See the Google Privacy Policy and the Google Play Terms of Service.
If you are signed in to Google Play Games, the game reports achievements to it, and it saves your solved puzzles, solve times and puzzle resets with Play Games saved games, so they follow you to your other devices. Unfinished puzzles are not saved there. Google stores this in your Google account and receives your Play Games profile, under the Google Privacy Policy; we never receive it. Apart from reading back its own saved game, the game only checks whether you are signed in. It never sends your Play Games player id to us or to anyone else.
If you do not sign in to Play Games, nothing is saved there. You can delete your Play Games data, saved games included, in the Play Games app or in your Google account.
To learn which puzzles and features people use, the game sends anonymous events to Aptabase, an analytics service that stores the data in the EU (Germany). The events are:
Each event also carries the app version, the Android version, the device model, the device’s language setting and a country, which Aptabase works out from the IP address. Aptabase does not store the IP address.
The events contain no name, email, advertising id, device id or Play Games id. The only link between them is a random session id that the game makes up and replaces after an hour without events, so the statistics cannot be tied to you. We use them only to improve the game. We do not sell them or share them with anyone else, and they are never used for advertising.
To stop sending these statistics, turn off Settings → Share anonymous usage data in the game. The game then sends nothing.
We collect the statistics on the basis of our legitimate interest in understanding how the game is used and improving it (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
The game shows no ads, does not use an advertising id and contains no advertising or tracking SDKs.
The game has no chat, no profiles of its own and no ads, and it collects no personal information from anyone, children included.
Under the GDPR you have the right to ask for access to your personal data and to have it corrected or erased, and you can object to its processing. The usage statistics cannot be linked to you, so we are unable to find any one person’s events; you can stop sending them at any time in Settings. Data on your device is yours to delete: uninstall the game or clear its data. For data Google holds, such as purchases, backups, achievements and saved games, use your Google account settings or the Play Games app.
You also have the right to complain to the data protection authority in your country.
If this policy changes, we will update it on this page and change the date at the top.
